SAC 75th Anniversary featuring COL Linda Aldrich (Ret)

Episode Summary

Retired Colonel Linda Aldrich discusses the challenges and rewards of breaking down the barriers to becoming one of the first women in the U.S. Air Force Missileer field. CORRECTION: Following this recording, Col. Aldrich requested the following clarification be noted: When speaking about the gender-specific crews, Col. Aldrich stated she was in the 373rd. Per Col. Aldrich, “That was an error (Titan Sq). Initially Nancy and I were in the 508 SMS, Sandy and Marcia were in the 509th, and Bev and Lydia were in ERCS 510th. I believe that would fall in the category of “critical error” and “attention to detail would have avoided this error” as any good Missileer would say.”
